Dear Grandma,

I miss you, a lot. At this very moment, you’re probably doing what you always do everyday- getting done with your exercising (walking around outside), drinking your coffee, and now lying down and watching Korean drama. That’s what I miss the most about being home, doing absolutely nothing with you and enjoying every minute of it.

Where do I begin? You’ve done so much for not only myself, but this entire family. You and grandpa raised 10 wonderful children, which led to having 21 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Without you and grandpa, none of us would be here. It was you who gave me the motivation to want to become a Nurse, and not fall for the stereotype of every Filipino going into Nursing/becoming a Doctor. It was those talks after school that we had that pushed me more and more to make you proud, which is what I’m going to do no matter what it takes. Each and every day, I wake up thanking God for our family and the life I’m blessed with. You truly are a big part of my life, and have been there to support me no matter what. I know I’ve made you mad many, many, many times, but still show the greatest amount of love any grandchild needs. It was you that motivated me to grow in Faith in God and strengthen my relationship with Him, and I can’t thank you enough for that.

Grandma, I’m going to make you proud, watch me. I know it’s not going to be easy, but I know it’ll be worth it all. I can’t wait to see you, and the next time I do is sooner than you know. I love you grandma and miss you so much. Distance means nothing to me, because I can call you anytime and hearing your voice makes everything better. Thank you grandma, for everything! I am forever grateful.
